What Is Carrom Board?

A carrom board (spelled carom) is also a square smooth flat wooden board that can be 72cm or 74cm square and should be 60 - 70cm above the ground. Each corner has a circular hole that can be 51 mm in diameter and under each hole is a mesh to hold the same pieces as a snooker table.

These old board games, especially carom boards that are collecting dust, can be the key to keeping your children's brains more active and healthy. The carom board helps in entertaining and brings friends and family together by cooperative and competitive game play. Thus, the carom board offers much more than just entertainment. In fact, the sport has beneficial effects in many aspects, including health for all age groups.

Carom's primary focus and benefit is that it offers parents a great way to spend a good time with their children. While playing the carom board, good bonding is also developed between families. They give all family members a fair chance to refresh their mind and relax. It is helpful in increasing logical reasoning power in the child. While playing and having fun at the same time, children can also practice skills such as counting, visual perception, reading, and eye coordination. It motivates children to engage in oral communication and healthy competitions. People also practice a variety of skills while playing a carom board.

Carom Powder

Use boric powder for your carom board which is available in medical stores. Using boric powder will not only give you a good feeling, but will also take care of the surface of your carom board. If you do not want to buy boric powder, you can use baby powder, baking powder or potato starch. It is not as smooth as boric powder but will work fine.
